Oh No!

Another write up for class. Bear with me alright?

I promise I'll post the continuation of the short story later on.

I have to create a discussion on the issue revolving Internet Plagiarism.

How should schools deal with internet plagiarism?

Let's begin

*

In my opinion Internet Plagiarism in schools should be dealt with severely.
As the generation moves forward to a more high tech society, more classes
would be using the internet as a medium for educational purposes. If students
are not punished severely for taking reports and projects which are not theirs,
wouldn't that lose the purpose of the project? Students are supposed to be
trained to be more analytical and inquiring but because of plagiarism, they
are merely trained to be good copiers!

Education is the one factor that will determine whether you will have a great
future in life. It is a waste of time and resources if you don't learn anything at all.

So how severe is severe? Subtraction of marks? Expulsion? I think expulsion is
too severe and a mere subtraction of a few marks is too lenient. My vote goes
to giving the student a full blown perfect 0! I think it's deserving because it's not
even their work! Why should I give them marks for work which they did not do?

I believe that as we move forward, we have to be more hardworking because
more and more things around us are becoming too convenient; if we have any
questions, we just ask Google which may then lead us to Wikipedia. We should
work even harder to achieve our visions. This is a part and parcel of The Journey
Of A Vision. If we work harder now, we'll be in the cutting edge of things and progress
smoother in this Journey.

Yeah maybe the people who cheated will progress faster but as they always say,
you reap what you sow. Their progress might be fast, but it will be filled with
problems that they will not be able to solve because they are not properly trained
for that situation hence as fast as they rose, as fast they shall fall. Whereas you,
you'll rise and continue to rise, never faltering.

Therefore, Schools really should take on this cheats with an iron fist. The future
is made in the now! Schools have the responsibility of creating leaders that
will shape our nation. If this problem remains rampant in our education system,
we'll be left with sub-par leaders who are incapable and inexperienced to lead us
nowhere. If the blind leads another blind person, both shall fall into the ditch.

That's all I really want to say this tiring Thursday of June 4 2009. This is Carlo and
I'll see you again soon.
